This privacy notice provides you with a detailed explanation of how we collect, use, share and store the personal information obtained in the course of our fundraising activities via donation platforms and this fundraising website.
By donation platform, we mean all information technology platforms used for collecting information to process your donation and contact you about the Igniting Hope Children’s Centre.
Any personal information we may collect is processed in line with the ACNC Igniting Passion Ltd registered charity rules and regulations, and associated charity status binding obligations and undertakings. We may amend this privacy notice from time to time to keep it up to date. You’ll find the latest version here.
If we make any significant changes to our privacy notice, we will take steps to let you know on our website or associated digital platforms eg. via email.
By using our IHCC website, you may be using external parties as for example, PayPal and Stripe which provide us with payment services. While this privacy notice does not cover how any of these third-party websites use your data, please be reassured that our payment processor vendors need to adhere to the strictest data protection compliance standards (including Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard [PCI DSS] requirements) and are subject to audit by Igniting Passion Ltd and by the credit card providers.

Legally speaking Personal information is any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.
When do we collect personal information and from where?
We collect your personal information if and when you:
Access or use our Donation page or other associated digital platforms
Or interact with a third party acting on our behalf, such as one of our ministry partners (Great Faith Ministries, India);
Additionally, we collect information about you when:
You contact us by email, post, or telephone (including voice, SMS and WhatsApp);
You interact with our social media channels and website.
What personal information do we collect?
Standard Personal Data
The personal information we collect directly from you can include any of the following:
Identity: include your first name, last name, username or similar identifier, title, date of birth;
Contact: includes billing address, email address and telephone numbers;
Financial: includes your bank account and payment card or PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay details. Please note that all financial data is given additional protection through Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards [PCI DSS]. While you share these data with us via the Donation Platform, they are not processed or stored by us, but instead by our specialist Payment Solution platforms such as Stripe and PayPal and subject to the strictest security and privacy requirements;
Transaction: includes details about your donations;
Technical: includes internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access the Igniting Hope Children’s Centre website and Donation Platforms;;
Usage: includes information about how you use our website, products and services;
Communications: includes your preference as to whether you want to receive direct communications from us and, if you do, which communication channels are used for them.
On our donation page, we request the following information:
Personal contact information: including your full name, email address and telephone number;
Financial information: including your bank or credit card details, billing address.
Transaction information: including the amount, currency, frequency, means of payment and dates of any donations you make;
We will also request:
Your contact preferences: we will ask whether you agree to be contacted by any of the following means: postal mail, email, telephone, WhatsApp, SMS.
What’s the legal basis for using the personal information we collect?
Your personal information will only collected, used and shared where we are satisfied that we have an appropriate legal basis to do this. This may be because:
You’ve agreed to us using the personal information (for example by clicking on the relevant section on our donations platform);
Our use of your personal information has been assessed to be in our legitimate interest in specific circumstances (for example, to help us track and record supporters’ activities and donations online, to create new audiences for our fundraising communications and better target information about our work ). In these cases we will look after your information at all times in a way that is proportionate and respects your privacy rights. You have a right to object to processing and be assured that we will respond to your request appropriately, as you can see below in How can you manage your privacy? ;
Using your personal information is necessary to perform a contract directly with you or take steps to enter into a contract with you (for example we require your bank or credit card details to process your donation); and/or
Using your personal information is necessary to comply with Igniting Passion Ltd Rules and binding obligations and undertakings.

Within our Igniting Passion Ltd executive team and advisory team.
With third parties, such as our service providers who support our donations platform, or who help manage our business and deliver services. These third parties use any personal information we share with them or which they collect on our behalf solely for the purpose of providing their contracted service to us;
If you do not want us to share your data in this way, then please let us know and we will stop doing so. See section ‘How can you manage your privacy?’ below.
We may share in aggregate, statistical form, non-personal information regarding the visitors to our website, traffic patterns, and website usage with our partners.
Our service providers or partners may share your personal information to comply with applicable laws, regulations and rules, and requests of law enforcement, regulatory and other governmental agencies. We may also share personal information with regulatory and governmental bodies

With your permission, we will use your personal information to let you know about our programmes, research, fundraising appeals, and other Igniting Passion work that we believe will be of interest to you. We may contact you by email, post, text message, WhatsApp or telephone or through other communication channels (including social media), depending on your preferences.

How do you and the other supporters manage communications preferences with us?
To protect privacy rights and to ensure you have control over whether you receive marketing communications from us:
We will take steps to limit direct communications to a reasonable level and only send you communications which we believe may be of interest to you;
You can get in touch with us at any time to ask us to stop contacting you (please see below). We will do our best to respond to your email within two days and let you know when we have completed your request. Please specify whether you would like us to stop all forms of communications or just a particular type (e.g., email);

How is personal information transferred?
Do we transfer personal information in a very secure way?
Igniting Passion Ltd is an Australian-based charity. Accordingly, your personal information remains in Australia. Igniting Passion Ltd will take appropriate steps to ensure that where transfers of personal information do take place, data is carefully managed to protect your privacy rights and interests.
To this end:
Where we transfer your personal information outside Igniting Passion Ltd to third parties who help support our work, we obtain contractual commitments from them to protect your personal information;
Where we receive requests for information from law enforcement, we carefully validate these requests before any personal information are disclosed.

How do we store your personal information?
We will store your personal information for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, as explained in previous sections. In some circumstances, we may store your personal information for longer periods of time, for instance where Igniting Passion Ltd rules require it. As standard, we store your personal information for up to six years. Our service providers are required to act in accordance with the laws and regulations applicable to them.
There are circumstances in which we may store your personal information for longer periods of time. This is to ensure we have an accurate record of your dealings with us in the event of any complaints or challenges, or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation relating to your personal information or dealings.
